L2SOTM — The Longparish 2nd Sunday Of The Month (handicap race)
L2SOTM - The Movie
Route
The route is 3.1 miles long (near enough 5 km) and (nearly) pancake-flat: it rises a few feet along Nun’s Walk on the stretch between 'Ford' and 'Pit (dis)' on the southeast leg. With the exception of a few yards of gravel drive past Mill House, the route is on tarmac road.
Leave the Cricket Ground and turn left along the B3048 towards the Plough, left into Southside Road, left into Nun’s Walk, left into The Cleaves then back through the village along the B3048 to the Cricket Ground. The route is shown in red on the map.
You can follow the route using the highlighted rectangles. James Field has made a movie of the route - for which, many thanks. You can watch it in the YouTube window somewhere to the right.
Since we took the photos, the route has acquired arrow signs and kilometre markers.
