Race Report
It was a chilly and wet morning for the November run but that did not deter our hardy runners.
First home was Charlie Grant, our youngest runner who was more than a minute inside his handicap with a new personal record time. Second was Jo Clare who became our Most Improved Woman. And our Most Improved Man was Mike Dukes, in 3rd place our oldest runner. One of the joys of a handicap race that everyone has the same chance of winning.
Graham Capper, who is just home after walking (yes, walking) to Rome was 4th. He and Freddie Brown also achieved personal records. Well done all!
Thank you very much to Freddie's Mum and Dad, Matt and Danielle, and Charlie's Dad, James, for accompanying juniors, to Maggie Barber and her sister for marshalling and to David Gould for processing the results. Thanks also to the Cricket Club for the lovely venue.
The next race is on Sunday, 10 December starting at 9am. It is our Christmas run and mulled wine and mice pies will be served afterwards, Santa hats are encouraged and full seasonal outfits will be welcome. So please do come and join us. New runners are always welcome and you don't have to be fast.
We issue a monthly email invitation a few days before each race and very occasional other emails. Please follow this link https://tinyurl.com/yygolzdb to be added to our Mail Chimp list. Some email systems may treat your first email as spam so please look out for it and add us to your trusted list.
