Race Report
It was a bright, sunny, joy-to-be-alive morning for the March race and conditions were ideal for running. It was the day after International Women's Day so it is fitting that our first three finishers were female.
First home and Most Improved Woman was Alice Evans who was awarded a special gold cup. Second in a new course record was Christina Searle. It is a strange quirk of the handicap system that you can set a new course record but not be the most improved. In third place was our Rising Star, Megan Brunwin and Andy Mountain was Most Improved Man in fourth. Well done All.
Thank you very much to Maggie Barber and the Sait family for marshalling, Ailsa Wiggans for doing the signs and to David Gould for processing the results.
The next race is on Sunday 13 April, starting at 9am at The Plough. New runners are always welcome and you don't have to be fast. It's a handicap race so everyone, whatever their pace, has a chance of winning.
We issue a monthly email invitation a few days before each race and very occasional other emails. Please follow this link https://tinyurl.com/yygolzdb to be added to our Mail Chimp list. Some email systems may treat your first email as spam so please look out for it and add us to your trusted list.
