Race Report

Jack Ellicock presenting Katie and Jeffrey with the Most Improved Runners' cups
Another grey day, including some rain on the way round, made it good for the runners but not so fun for the helpers and spectators. We were pleased to welcome new runners Jabez, Neil and Brian to the field and, despite the poor weather and early start, had a good turnout.
Congratulations go to Katie—back after nearly 2 years’ absence—whose tour of duty in Helmand has clearly done good things to her legs; and to Jeffrey, both of whom won their 2nd Most Improved Runner awards.
Thanks go to Jeremy for making the whole thing possible; to Maggie for timekeeping and catering; to Jack for marshalling and presenting the awards; to the Goulds for putting the signs out; and to the Cricket Club for allowing us to use their facilities.
