Race Report

The weather was fine for the August race. Lots of regulars were away but numbers were boosted by new runners Andy Best, the Evans' American house swappers, Phil, Nanette and Cole Wilkinson and Uli Selg and various Hardley Runners who were visiting Longparish to reccy the Test Way.

Jack presents the trophies to Teri and Callum

Callum McNeice improved by nearly two minutes on his winning time from last month and was first male finisher not on an estimated handicap. Although the mug is normally for adults we felt he deserved to have it again. Hardley visitor Teri Jivraj was first lady and bubbled over with delight as she has never won a cup before.

Afterwards we had a round of Happy Birthday to celebrate Ray Noke's 60th and ate his lovely cake.

Thanks very much to everyone who helped, to Emma Smith, Jack, Peter, Maggie and Graham and Hardley friends for marshalling and time keeping. Thanks also to David for doing the signs and to the Cricket Club for the lovely venue.

We look forward to seeing you at the next race on Sunday 11 September.
