Race Report
The weather was cool and overcast for the July race; good conditions for running.
We welcomed new runner, Liz Callaghan from Forton and two of Jack Ellicock's Ranelagh Harriers team mates, Sonia and Steve Rowland.
Leyanne gets better every month and beat her handicap by over a minute to take the cup for most improved woman. Her nephew Callum improved by an amazing 3 minutes and 38 second and was awarded the men's mug. We don't normally give the trophies to junior runners but he deserved it for an excellent run.
Thanks very much to everyone who helped, to Emma Evans, Jack, Maggie and Graham for marshalling and time keeping and to Jack and Jim Dundas, Leyanne and Anne Marklew for the lovely cakes Thanks also to Jeremy for doing the signs and to the Cricket Club for the lovely venue.
We look forward to seeing you at the next race on Sunday 14 August.
