Race Report

Julie, Elizabeth and Jim, our Most Improved Runners.

It was a dull, chilly morning for the 146th race and we welcomed 4 new runners - David Wilkie, Tom and Pippa Wake and Pete Hillyard. It was good to have James Rodwell back with us after a year's absence because of injury. Tom has his own running website which you can see at https://tom.run

First home and our Most Improved Man was Jim Dundas. In 4th place with a new personal best was Elizabeth Brown who was our Rising Star. Julie Dinkele was the Most Improved Woman. Special mention also goes to Jake Dinkele who broke the junior course record with a time of 19:34 for the five kilometre run. Well done!

Thanks very much to the adults who accompanied juniors, to Maggie Barber, Tom Wake and Jim Dundas for marshalling, to Maggie for the flapjack, to Team Smith for doing the signs, to David Gould for crunching the numbers and to the Cricket Club for the lovely venue.

Our next race is on Sunday 10th February, starting at the usual time of 10am at the Cricket Ground. Everyone is welcome especially volunteers to help (full training provided).
