Race Report
The picture album this month includes a movie made up of scenes captured by the trailcam at the finish. Let me know what you think.
We welcomed new runners Megan and Jo Brunwin from Hurstbourne Priors to the January race.
Conditions were good, if a little chilly, apart from flooding at The Cleeves. With long stretches of the route under water, no-one was going to avoid getting their feet wet. But that did not deter our runners and, despite wet and heavy feet, six of them managed to break their handicaps
First home was Dave Henery from Forton who was our Most Improved Man. Most Improved Woman was Claire Collier. Charlie Grant, our Rising Star, is also a Fortonian.
Thank you very much to Maggie Barber for marshalling, Graeme Capper for doing the signs and to David Gould for processing the results. Thanks also to the Cricket Club for the lovely venue.
The next race is on Sunday, 11 February starting at 10am at the Cricket Ground. New runners are always welcome and you don't have to be fast. It's a handicap race so everyone, whatever their pace, has a chance of winning.
We issue a monthly email invitation a few days before each race and very occasional other emails. Please follow this link https://tinyurl.com/yygolzdb to be added to our Mail Chimp list. Some email systems may treat your first email as spam so please look out for it and add us to your trusted list.
