Race Report
A watery sun broke through as the February race began and the floods at The Cleeves had subsided so conditions were pretty good.
Megan Brunwin led from start to finish and became our Rising Star. Close behind was Ian Beveridge, our Most Improved Man and Jo Clare was Most Improved Woman.
Andy Smith was presented with his 100 runs tee-shirt and cracked open a bottle of prosecco to celebrate. Graham Capper kindly provided fruit cake (part of our five a day) and there were chocolate biscuits (chocolate's a vegetable, isn't it?) and tea or coffee to supplement the fizz.
Thank you very much to Maggie Barber for marshalling, Andy Smith for doing the signs, Roger Bradley for timing and David Gould for processing the results. Thanks also to the Cricket Club for the lovely venue.
The next race is on Sunday, 10 March starting at 9am at the Cricket Ground. New runners are always welcome and you don't have to be fast. It's a handicap race so everyone, whatever their pace, has a chance of winning.
We issue a monthly email invitation a few days before each race and very occasional other emails. Please follow this link https://tinyurl.com/yygolzdb to be added to our Mail Chimp list. Some email systems may treat your first email as spam so please look out for it and add us to your trusted list.
