Race Report

It was a damp morning but it dried up for the start and the sun did come out for a few seconds.  14 runners plus Ben and Tabitha pushed in their buggy by Liz took part. Jack Dundas won the Most Improved man trophy while Carole Dunford took the women’s and Matthieu won the children’s chocolate footballs.  In the absence of Jeremy and David, Emma, Maggie and Jack Ellicock officiated, ably assisted by Graham and Peter.

This photo shows Jack presenting thetrophies to Carol and Jack. You can see more pictures in the album (link above). Thanks go to Wendy who took the photos.

trophies

Maggie was delighted and quite overwhelmed by the surprise cake, card, bunch of flowers and the singing of happy birthday.  Thank you all.

Many thanks are due to all those who helped – the race officials, Emma, Maggie, Jack, Graham and Peter, Jack and Jim Dundas for cake, Fiona for the signs and the Cricket Club for the venue.
