Race Report

It was a lovely sunny morning for the April race. We welcomed new runner Marija Davis who was first home by a long way but didn't get the cup as she was running off an estimated handicap. Maybe next time .... L2SOTM winners April 2014Our Most Improved Man and Woman were Jim Dundas and Katie King, both of whom beat their handicaps by over a minute. Congratulations also to Steve Davis and Matt Simmons who both ran personal record times and were hot of the heels of the winners. Thanks very much to Jim and Maggie for the cake and flapjack, to Maggie, Pauline, Marija, David and Katiefor marshalling and to David for putting out the signs. And, of course, thanks very much to the Cricket Club for the lovely venue.

The next race is on Sunday 11 May starting at the usual time of 10am at the Cricket Ground. It is a handicap race so runners of all abilities have a chance to win!
