Race Report

The April race was on Easter Sunday so everyone was awarded a chocolate egg.

We paused in silence before the start to remember Steve Davis, runner number 194. Steve's ambition was to run a half marathon in every country in Europe. He very nearly succeeded. RIP Steve.

It was dry, calm and cool; ideal conditions and 11 of our 18 runners broke their handicaps. First home and with a personal record by over 4 minutes was Sam Hunt who became our Rising Star. Next was Sandra Doney. Her recovery from injury is going well and she improved by 92 seconds to become our Most Improved Woman. Darrell Waite also recorded a personal best to become our Most Improved Man. He narrowly missed 20 minutes and will surely succeed soon. Freddie Brown and Andy Mountain also had personal records. Well done all.

Our AprilMost Improved Runners
