Race Report

L2SOTM 10 May 2009 Jack presents the cups to Alice and Alan

It was a beautiful morning for the May race. We welcomed two new runners, Dominic who is building up to the New Forest Half Marathon and Roger who is not in the results list as he was running informally with Jacqui. It was also good to see Claire and Andy back after almost two years.

This month we have a small album of pictures. If you'd like full quality versions of any of them please email Jeremy or David.

Both the most improved people had names beginning with Al - Alan who looked cool the whole way round and cruised to victory and Alice who was working very hard and took the cup for the first time in 21 outings. Alice is one of our stars and the better you are the more difficult it is to improve enough to win so she deserves particular credit. Well done both!

Thanks go to Maggie, Jack, Emma and Katie for marshalling, Maggie, Emma and Jo for the excellent refreshments, David for putting out the signs and the Cricket Club for the venue.
