Race Report

Claire and Andy with the trophies

The morning dawned bright and sunny but the sun went in just before the start. That gave us excellent conditions and 12 of the 19 runners broke their handicaps. We welcomed a new runner, Jack's son John Ellicock and Min's son, running with him and not officially counting showed his Dad a clean pair of heels at the finish.

Our winners were Claire ffolkes and Andy Hawke. Well done! Andy's time of 19.05 was only 20 seconds outside the course record so he'll be giving Jonathan Evans a run for his money when they meet head to head.

Thanks very much to Jack, Maggie, Fiona, Ben, Emma and Graham for marshalling, to Maggie for the flapjack and the Cricket Club for the lovely venue.
