Race Report

It was a beautiful, bright morning for the December race but perishingly cold, especially for the helpers (to whom many thanks) who don't get warmed up by running.

The Most Improved Runners—Kian, Andy and Lulu—being presented with their trophies by John

First home and an amazing 6 minutes and 41 seconds inside his handicap was our Rising Star, Kian Timms accompanied by Grandad, James Masters, who had a job keeping up with him! Kian has been practising with Andover AC which may help explain this dramatic improvement. Well done! Juniors Wilf Hiller and Daniel Sanderson also recorded Personal Bests. Our Most Improved Man was Andy Smith who has also been practising and beat his handicap by a minute. Most Improved Lady was Lulu Prince.

John Ellicock continued the tradition established by his father, Jack and kindly sponsored and presented Christmas gifts to our winners.

Thanks very much to everyone who helped, both with marshalling and admin and by accompanying other runners and, of course, to the Longparish Cricket Club for the lovely venue.

The next race is on Sunday 11th January 2015 starting at the usual time of 10am at the Cricket Ground. It is a handicap race so runners of all abilities have a chance to win!
