Race Report
It was a lovely sunny morning for the August run and we had a record turnout of 28 runners. We welcomed new runners, Anne Eggington, Kim Holmes and Carolyn Holmes and welcomed back three people who hadn't run for over a year.
First home, nearly three minutes ahead of her handicap was Marija Davis who was Most Improved Lady. Marija has scored a personal best time (PB) in her last four runs and is now over 7 minutes faster that her first run. Well done! Second was Archie Waite who beat his handicap by nearly two minutes and became our Rising Star. First man home and Most Improved Man was Matthew Rowe. Lee Thomson, Steve Davis, Mark Curtis and Joanne Wyatt all also recorded PBs Well done!

Thanks very much to our marshals and timekeepers, to everyone who accompanied juniors, to Maggie Barber and Jim Dundas for the refreshments, to David and Fiona Gould for doing the signs and to the Cricket Club for the lovely venue.
The next race is on Sunday 13th September starting at the usual time of 10am at the Cricket Ground. It is a handicap race so runners of all abilities have a chance to win. Everyone is welcome!
