Race Report

It was a cool, dull day for the September run. That meant it was ideal for running and more than half of the 24 runners broke their handicaps with no fewer than six Personal Bests: Archie Waite, Lee Thomson, Magnus Stroier, Jeanette Stroier, Chris Dewey and Daniel Sanderson. Well done!

Dave, Archie and Jacqui: our Most Improved Runners

We welcomed new runners Luke Sanderson (junior), Vicki Blewitt and Colin Teasdale and congratulated Jim Dundas and Andy Smith on their 50th runs.

Dave Henery has been doing some serious training as he has a half marathon coming up. He broke his handicap by over two minutes to be Most Improved Man. Most Improved Woman was Jacqui Healey and Archie Waite was our Rising Star.

Thanks very much to our marshals and timekeepers, to everyone who accompanied juniors, to Maggie Barber and Marija Davis for the refreshments, to David and Fiona Gould for doing the signs and to the Cricket Club for the lovely venue.

The next race is on Sunday 11th October starting at the usual time of 10am at the Cricket Ground. It is a handicap race so runners of all abilities have a chance to win. Everyone is welcome!
