Race Report

We welcomed new runners, Hannah and Max Wiseman, Ben Green and Blaithin O'Dea to the 165th edition of the L2SOTM. To say it was warm would be something of an understatement but, despite the heat, our first seven finishers all broke their handicaps. Excellent running!

First home and our Most Improved Lady, was Claire Collier who is working towards a half marathon; her first for nine years. Most Improved Man was Graeme Johnson (pictured) with a best-ever time. Hannah Ross also recorded a personal best and Dave Henery notched up his 100th race. Well done all!

Thanks very much to Maggie Barber, Andy Smith, Nick and Sarah Collier, Juliet and Simon Wiseman and David Gould for helping and the Cricket Club for the lovely venue.

If Covid relaxations go according to plan we'll be back on Sunday 11 July. You will be very welcome if you'd like to run or help out.

Your start time depends on how fast you are. For your first race it will be based on your estimated time. After that your handicap will be based on your most recent result. Slower runners will start first with the fastest last so the winner is the person who improves most.

Runners must enter in advance and numbers are limited. There will be Covid rules to ensure the safety of runners and volunteers.

We issue a monthly email invitation a few days before each race and very occasional other emails. Please follow this link to be added to our Mail Chimp list. Some email systems may treat your first email as spam so please look out for it and add us to your trusted list.

Craeme finsishes in a new personal best time.
