Race Report

Conditions were excellent for the April race. Twelve runners broke their handicaps and six recorded their best ever times for the route. Well done María-Belén Rivas, Susanna Benedetto, Elizabeth Benedetto, Hamish Martin, Jeremy Barber and Tom Rogers.

We welcomed our webmaster, David Gould, for his first run in over three years. David is recovering from injury and his target is the Clarendon Marathon in October. We wish him luck.

María was Most Improved Woman, Jeremy was Most Improved Man and Megan Brunwin was our Rising Star

Our trophy winners

Afterwards we enjoyed a warm welcome, bacon rolls and coffee at The Plough.

Incidentally, The Plough are the main sponsors of the HBT5 a lovely five mile race in Hurstbourne Tarrant on Saturday 2 May and the Harewood 10K is the following Monday. Both races feature wonderful displays of bluebells and support local good causes so please do enter.

Thank you very much to Maggie Barber and Millie Martin for marshalling, to Maggie, Mark Curtis and Alice Evans for doing the signs and to David for processing the results

The next race is on Sunday 10 May, starting at 9am at The Plough. New runners are always welcome and you don't have to be fast. It's a handicap race so everyone, whatever their pace, has a chance of winning.

We issue a monthly email invitation a few days before each race and very occasional other emails. Please follow this link https://tinyurl.com/yygolzdb to be added to our Mail Chimp list. Some email systems may treat your first email as spam so please look out for it and add us to your trusted list.
