Race Report
It was overcast and unseasonally warm for the January race. In other word conditions were pretty well ideal. We welcomed new junior runner Victoria Goldsmith and seniors Alison Morgan, Margaret Collins and Chris Dewey.
Most Improved Man was Ian Beveridge who is back on form after a long period of injury and broke his handicap by nearly two minutes. Kerry Loon was Most Improved Woman in a new best for the course. Special mention goes to newcomer Chris Dewey who ran from Barton Stacey, clipped a second off the course record and disappeared to complete his run; a magnificent feat worthy of the Amazing Wilson.
Thanks very much to Maggie, Wendy and Jack for marshalling, to Maggie for the flapjack, to David for the signs and to the Cricket Club for the lovely venue.
We look forward to seeing you at the next race on Sunday 12 February.
