Race Report
Conditions were good for the August run. We welcomed four new runners: Charlie Hillier, Matthew Jeffery, Tad Filip and Eve Ridge and three visiting Hardley Runners: Linda Noke, Mike Sleath and Guy Lawrenson.
First home was Guy who mistook the route (thus continuing a long Hardley tradition of getting lost in Longparish) and arrived before the last person started. Next home was Charlie Hillier but you can't win off an estimated handicap so our Rising Star was his sister, Evie, who broke her handicap by over two and a half minutes. Well done! Our Most Improved Woman was Hardley visitor Linda Noke and our Most Improved Man was Nick Collier.
No fewer than 15 of our 32 finishers broke their handicaps and there were 8 Personal Records: Evie Hillier, Wilf Hillier, Linda Noke, Nick Collier, Jen Mulberry, Jalal Janmohamed, Nicholas Mulberry and Hallam Doney.

Well done to everyone who ran or accompanied children or simply turned to cheer the runners on. Thanks go to Angela Bryan and Maggie Barber for refreshments, Sam Arnold and Annabel Doney for photos, Judy and Kevin Bannister, Ray Noke and Maggie for marshalling and time keeping, David Gould for the signs and the Cricket Club for the lovely venue.
Our next race is on Sunday 10th September starting at the usual time of 10am at the Cricket Ground. Everyone is welcome especially volunteers to help (full training provided). If you'd like to run it is a handicap race so people of all abilities have a chance to win.
