Race Report
It was a bright and sunny morning for the April race though with a chilly wind. There was a record field of 37 runners and no fewer than 21 of them broke their handicaps with 8 achieving their best ever times. Well done!.
We welcomed new runners: Les and Sighla Blount, Richard Arnold, Danielle King and Ruby Reid. First home and our Rising Star was Pollyanna Reynolds. Lee Gregory was Most Improved Man and Wendy Beveridge was our Most Improved Woman.
Congratulations also to Alice Evans, who celebrated her birthday by running the race for the 64th time and thanks to Maggie Barber who made a birthday cake.
Thanks very much to our marshals and timekeepers, also to David Gould for putting out the signs and crunching the numbers and to the Cricket Club for the lovely venue.
The next race is on Sunday 8th May starting at the usual time of 10am at the Cricket Ground. It is a handicap race so runners of all abilities have a chance to win. Everyone is welcome!
